Nabatean Kingdom,
The Nabataeans settled in southern Jordan  in 312. The Nabatean Kingdom contained within itself a lot of merchants and traders during the first centuries. The city of Petra was the centre of the Nabatean Kingdom. The reason why the city of Petra was the capital is that this place is strategically placed at the crossroads of trade routes that linked the territories of China, India, Arabia and the Mediterranean region.
 
The reputation of the Nabatean Kingdom spreaded as far as China because of the fame of temple of Petra. It is now as known as one of the best places to visit in the world.
